Out Our Way
Gay and Lesbian Life in Rural Canada
Michael Riordan celebrates the survival of ordinary, extraordinary people whose experiences are rarely reflected in the media. These stories of courage and humour were gathered in the course of two years and 27,000 kilometres of travel, and some three hundred in-person conversations.
Michael Riordon teaches writing, and has written two other books of oral history: Eating Fire: Family Life on the Queer Side (BTL, 2001) and An Unauthorized Biography of the World (BTL, 2005). He lives near Picton, Ontario.
